Demand for Electricity in the United States May Double in 20 Years

According to speakers at this week’s Energy Transition Leaders Summit in Aspen, Colorado, the consumption of electricity is likely to double in the coming years.

Piper Sandler, the summit’s host, said that many leaders think the electricity consumption could double in 20 years and stagnate for another decade afterward. Sandler also noted that this meeting happened just as Biden signed a mammoth $375B climate change legislation.
