Applicants that wish to attain or retain their SREC II qualification must meet certain requirements depending on their system size and status by Sunday, January 8, 2017. The DOER released the following requirements for systems over 25 kW and under or equal to 25 kW to meet qualification. Please visit these requirements for all required forms.
SREC II systems over 25 kW:
Interconnected by January 8
– Systems will be qualified at their original SREC Factor as long as they submit their application by the effective date of their next incentive program.
Mechanically complete by January 8
– Systems that want an extension must Submit their Statement of Qualification Application by January 8.
– Systems that want an indefinite extension must provide one of the following documents to the DOER by January 9:
• a copy of the certificate of completion signed by the local wiring inspector;
• proof that the a wiring inspection has been scheduled;
• an affidavit signed by the engineer of record stating the project is “mechanically complete”;
• or other documentation considered satisfactory by the DOER.
– Qualifying systems will receive the original SREC Factor to which the facility is entitled.
50 percent of construction spent by January 8
– Systems that want an extension must Submit their Statement of Qualification Application by January 8.
– Systems that want a four-month extension must provide a Detailed Construction Costs Form and a Signed Affidavit to the DOER by January 23.
– Qualifying systems will receive the applicable reduced SREC Factor.
SREC II systems under or equal to 25 kWh:
Interconnected by January 8
– These systems will continue to be approved at an SREC Factor of 1.0 until the next solar incentive program begins.
Interconnected after January 8
– These systems will continue to be approved at an SREC Factor of 0.8 until the next solar incentive program begins.
