National Grid has filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service rates for residential, commercial, and industrial customers effective May 1, 2017.
Taking into account pending changes to National Grid’s Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCFs) which are the subject of another proceeding, the new rates are marginally lower than the current basic service rates for mass market customers (about three mills per kWh lower for the residential and commercial fixed rates).
The changes to the BSACFs and SGCCFs are proposed to be effective May 1, 2017
National Grid filed the new fixed basic service rates only reflecting both the current BSACFs and SGCCFs (listed under a) below).
Additionally, National Grid filed the “base” basic service rates, on a fixed and monthly basis, without the impact of either the BSACFs and SGCCFs adders (listed under b) below).
The below rates (all cents per kWh) remain subject to DPU approval.
